  Current 7th - 11th grade students to participate in the W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars Institute's 2021 Online Summer Program!

2021 Online Summer Program 
Founded in the summer of 1988, the W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute provides scholarship and leadership training for high-achieving youth. In light of COVID-19, the W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars Institute's Online Summer Program will occur instead of the traditional Summer Institute at Princeton University. 

During the 2021 Online Summer Program, students will experience an academic and leadership development program by receiving rigorous instruction in college level courses. The Du Bois Institute aims to sharpen students’ research and quantitative analysis skills, as well as writing, verbal, and critical reading skills.

Program Overview:
The online program is for current 7th-11th graders (rising 8th - rising 12th graders). 
Students can choose from 17 different online courses (based on their grade):

Course Dates:
Each course occurs over 7 days (excluding weekends) for 90 minutes daily.
Session 1: June 28th - July 6th (5 courses available)
Session 2: July 7th - July 15th (6 courses available) 
Session 3: July 16th - July 26th (6 courses available)

+ Each course can be applied for individually.
+ Students can apply for more than one course. Finalists will be assigned to a course before additional courses are granted.

Requirements: 
Overall GPA of 3.0; B
2 Letters of Recommendation 
Transcript
300 Word Essay
Prompt: What is your interest in the program? Describe your education and career goals, community service activities and/or leadership roles you have performed.
(Essay is required for current 9th, 10th & 11th graders only)
Virtual Interview is Required for Semi-Finalists.

Submission Deadline: April 12, 2021
Rolling admissions thereafter will be based on available space.

Cost:
The tuition fee is $300 per course.
