Help Students Prepare for College and Beyond Summer Scholars Program Session I: June 27-July 9, 2021 Session II: July 11-23, 2021
Sarah, Miami University's Summer Scholars Program is a selective two-week program that provides a rich, early college experience for academically talented, rising high school juniors and seniors from across the globe. Students will get a glimpse of life on campus as they dive into a specific academic program with faculty and other students who share their interests.
Students who attend Summer Scholars and then apply for undergraduate admission to Miami receive priority consideration for Miami merit scholarships and selective programs. As part of the application process, counselors will need to submit the following materials online by the May 1 application deadline on behalf of their students: - Letter of recommendation
- Applicant’s high school transcript (including current-year schedule)
- Copy of any available test score reports (We will gladly accept ACT, SAT, PSAT, and PreACT scores; test scores are optional.)
- Verification of an applicant’s eligibility for free or reduced school lunch (if submitting application materials on behalf of a student in need of financial assistance)
We will also offer a limited number of full scholarships for the Summer Scholars Program to academically talented students with financial need who apply and are accepted to the program. There is no fee to apply for the program.
A final decision about whether Summer Scholars 2021 will be on campus or virtual will be made no later than June 1. When applying, students identify their preference for on campus, virtual, or either. Only those who select on campus or either will be considered for admission if the program is hosted on campus.
If you have any questions, please email summerscholars@MiamiOH.edu or call 513-529-2531.
