Invitation for Students: Business Conference at Scranton

We would like to introduce an exciting opportunity for you to share with your students. The Path to Business Excellence Conference will be held at The University of Scranton on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The purpose of Path to Business Excellence is to introduce students to the dynamic and rewarding world of business. This conference will be an interactive and meaningful educational experience. Sessions will be held with our award-winning faculty, distinguished executive alumni, and students from our Business Leadership and Beta Alpha Psi Honor Programs. 

Students attending the conference should be current seniors who have applied to a business program at the University, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Participants who meet the eligibility requirements will receive a $1,000 scholarship upon acceptance to The University of Scranton for the first-year entry term of fall 2023.*

All participants will receive a certificate of completion and attend a brief recognition and networking reception. Students may invite their parents/guardians to attend the conference and participate in the parent track. All participants are requested to dress business casual.

Real Talk NY Careers Edition: Black in Tech

 

Sometimes young people need to see someone like themselves succeed to believe they can too. Representation matters! That’s why Real Talk is excited to host our first set of career events this month, featuring young Black professionals in the tech, sports, and entertainment industries. Students will be exposed to new career paths and receive advice on how they can achieve success wherever they land. Encourage your students to join us for Real Talk: NY Careers Edition:

• Black in Tech on Tuesday, October 11, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT • Black in Sports on Thursday, October 13, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT • Black in Entertainment on Tuesday, October 18, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT

Real Talk events were created to provide Black students and their families with the tools they need to start planning for their future. Over these three nights, students will connect with a variety of Black professionals, whose success stories will inspire them to pursue their own journeys with confidence.
