One Week Applied Math Summer Program at Catholic University, DC June 21-26, 2020

I would like to let you know about our pre-college program in applied mathematics that we are offering June 21-26 at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. This residential program is intended for rising high school freshmen, sophomore, juniors, and seniors as well as 2020 high school graduates looking for a pre-college experience. See our website here.

The program we are offering is Applied Math in Action!,  an action-packed week with math sessions each day in subjects outside the normal high school curriculum, so they are accessible to all levels: cryptography, game theory, math modelling, & more,  as well as invited speakers and other educational activities.  It will also feature several fun excursions around Washington, D.C. and allow students to experience a week of college life on our beautiful campus. Because our math topics are outside the normal series of mathematics topics taught in high school, students do not need advanced coursework to participate, but only an interest in mathematics and STEM. More projects will be available for more advanced students.

If you or a student would like more information, please see the flyer below or go to our website at math.cua.edu/applied-math-in-action.

Please feel free to email us at math-in-action@cua.edu.

Regards,
Anita
