Calling All Diverse Voices


The School of The New York Times is pleased to announce our new Diverse Voices Scholarship Fund, which aims to improve availability, access and equity of learning opportunities for economically disadvantaged students. The Diverse Voices Scholarship Fund offers full-tuition scholarships to our Pre-College Programs including Summer AcademyGap Year and August Writers’ Workshop.

Students from all backgrounds who meet the economically disadvantaged eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. If you believe you are a good candidate, apply now and tell us: How will you use your diverse voice to make a difference in your community or the world at large?

The Diverse Voices Scholarship Deadline is March 16, 2020.

Who Is Eligible?

Students from all backgrounds who meet the economically disadvantaged eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Students must also meet the grade or age eligibility requirements for the specific program to which they are applying.

How Do I Apply?

To apply for the scholarship, students must first submit a program application, followed by the scholarship application. The scholarship application asks for student background Information and a personal statement/essay.
