SoulPhamm is a small, nonprofit organization that provides sports, arts and service activities for young people. You may learn more about us at www.soulphamm.org and about our program's leadership, Dr. Leisa Herrera, by viewing the trailer for the documentary titled, 1City Soul here. SoulPhamm is the successor organization to The 1City Youth Project.
We have received invitations to perform at high-visibility events across the tri-state area and along the East Coast and would like to involve as many young people from NJ and NYC as we can. We will be performing in a few collegiate Homecoming Events this fall in the hopes of exciting young people about attending college. Because of the work it will take us to prepare our amazing young people for this event, we are shutting down recruitment for the rest of 2023 after May 13th. Our programs operate on Saturdays, so they shouldn't interfere with their extra-curricular participation at school. In the case of conflicts, we encourage the young people to fully participate with their schools.
Although the program is currently based in Newark, it is open to students across New Jersey and New York City. We would encourage families to complete the form on our website as soon as possible to guarantee their slot for tryouts as we will only take 10 young people per club. We've not added you to our mailing list, and won't disturb you again after this.
