Exciting New Topics for Summer 2022: Pre-College at UMass Amherst

 

Hi All, UMass Amherst has several new pre-college programs available this summer for rising 10th - 12th graders. Our pre-college programs offer students firsthand experience with college-level academics and campus life, and are a great way to explore potential majors.  New Pre-College Programs for Summer 2022 For students interested in healthcare, research, and/or data analysis: Health Without Borders Intro to Research in Psychology Digital Cartography: Mapping our Environment For students interested in current events & social issues, politics, or anthropology: Race & American Politics: Then and Now Pandemics and Society The Sociology of TikTok Vampires & Revenants: the Archaeology of the Undead For students interested in visual arts and communication: Making a TV Program: Production Design 3D Design: Modeling for Games, Animation & Illustration 3D Animation: Giving Life and Movement to Your 3D World UMass Amherst Pre-College programs offer both residential and online options. All programs are taught by UMass faculty and advanced graduate students, and feature project-based learning. For more program details (including fees and scholarships), please visit our website. How to Apply All rising 10th - 12th graders are eligible to apply online via our website. Interested students must provide: a brief, 1-page statement of interest an unofficial high school transcript (including current academic year) a letter of recommendation from a teacher or school counselor a $35 application fee  Admissions are rolling through June 15th. Students are encouraged to apply early.
