Do your students have ideas for innovative new businesses? Tell them to share their business concepts with Rider for a chance to win a full-tuition college scholarship or cash prizes!

The Norm Brodsky Business Concept Competition accepts new ideas from rising high school seniors, juniors and sophomores. The winner of the senior division receives a full four-year tuition scholarship to Rider University. Watch this video for to see a recap of last year’s competition.

The application to the 2021-2022 concept competition is now available. Encourage your students to apply by November 7 to secure their entry. The live finale will be held on campus on January 29, 2022

The competition takes place in two divisions. Sophomores and juniors compete in the lower division while seniors compete in the higher division. All finalists (and family and friends) for both divisions are invited to the live finale and banquet.

Higher Senior Division:

  • The winner of the senior pitch competition receives a full four-year tuition scholarship to Rider University.
  • Rising high school seniors must apply to the University under the non-binding early action plan by November 15 in order to be eligible for the live finale. Prior to submitting, please review Rider’s application requirements and guidelines

Lowerclassmen Division:

  • The winner of the division will automatically be entered into the final business competition when the student is a high school senior.

The competition is sponsored by Norm Brodsky ’64, an alum with a creative and entrepreneurial mind just like your students. Norm is a long-time entrepreneur, the namesake of Rider’s Norm Brodsky College of Business who founded eight successful businesses including Citi Storage, the largest privately owned archive business in the country.

We look forward to your students’ concept competition entries!
