Anticipation is in the air: sophomores and juniors are mapping their paths for the summer, while college acceptances went out for many seniors last week. In the same spirit, Horizon has a few updates to share with those considering research this summer!
If your students plan to apply for Horizon Labs, they should apply 6 weeks prior to their preferred start date. That means April 15 to want to start research on June 1! Learn more about applications or join an upcoming info session here.
This past week was a roller coaster for many, as college admission notifications came in. We were thrilled to hear from some of our alumni who informed us they were admitted to their dream schools, such as Harvard, Penn, Caltech, Duke, and Carnegie Mellon to name a few.
The first volume of the Horizon Academic Research Journal has been published! The journal is an annual effort to showcase 12 commendable research papers from the past year. This builds on our previous work in offering free advising on external publication and our pre-print server for selected student papers.
We've released 11 new research topics in chemistry, psychology, and neuroscience, not to mention 5 new Horizon Labs instructors as well!
Still have unanswered questions about the Horizon Academic Research Program? We'll be offering 6 online information sessions this spring. View the whole list here, or click below to sign up for the next one on April 14th!
