NYU High School Programs

We are proud to offer high school programs that draw on  the strengths of NYU’s various schools and colleges. Whether it’s by earning college credit or strengthening artistic or professional skills in an intensive workshop, students will experience life at NYU, first hand. Many of our programs allow students to strengthen their academic portfolio, while others enhance performance and studio art experiences.

Explore High School and Middle School Opportunities

NYU’s varied array of high school and middle school programs offer flexibility and options that can be tailored to your individual needs and schedule. We offer 6-week classes, 1-week classes, and everything in between!

Most residential programs are offered during the summer, however there are many opportunities to study at NYU on campus or online during the academic year. Application processes, requirements and deadlines are varied, as are housing and financial aid offerings.

Tech It Out Philly

Tech It Out Philly is a program that works with local high school students to explore social change through computer science. Students will work, over the course of 8 weekly sessions, in a small group with other high school students and Penn mentors to build a website about a social justice issue of their choice. The semester culminates with a launch party, which allows students to demo their websites to other groups and Penn upperclassmen.

Tech It Out is aimed at students who have no computer science background and may not have a lot of opportunities to learn about technology, so no experience is expected or necessary. It is an entirely free program and we will teach students everything they need to know! Please keep in mind that students will need internet access and a computer.

This semester we will be offering our program virtually, and I think this program would be a great opportunity for your students! The program will meet on Sundays starting 10/02 from 2-3PM.

Students can apply here. The application is open until 09/25 at 11:59 pm EST.

Feel free to reach out to phillytechitout@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you so much for your help!

Tech It Out Philly Outreach Chair
