I am pleased to announce that Pace University's 2021 Precollege Immersion Program for high school students will be held in-person this summer on both our New York City and Westchester campuses.
The Precollege Immersion Program is a groundbreaking, intensive two-week program designed for rising high school juniors and seniors that provides them with a first-hand look at a college experience.
This year we are offering five major academic tracks:
Business
Digital Film Production
Environmental Studies
Psychology
Theater Arts
Please encourage your students to apply today! The program runs from July 12–July 23. Applications are open now and will be accepted until April 19, 2021.
The cost of the program is $2,500. This includes course instruction, reading materials, and two meals per day. Upon completion of the program students will receive a Certificate of Course Completion.
Students who complete this program and are subsequently admitted to Pace as an undergraduate will receive three general credits toward their degree, as well as a yearly $3,000 scholarship as long as they maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
NYU Precollege will be conducted exclusively online for Summer 2021.

As a Precollege student, you will be an NYU student with access to the online resources, community, and global network that make NYU unique. If you already know what you want to major in, or if you want to try out a subject you've never studied before, NYU Precollege is the best way to develop your skills and prepare for college.

*Students interested in applying for a scholarship must submit their NYU Precollege application no later than March 25th. The supplemental scholarship application must be submitted by the April 1st deadline.
The Summer 2021 Precollege application will be available on February 1.
Eligibility
Students currently in their 10th or 11th grade year may apply to NYU Precollege for the summer term.
Choose Your Courses
As a NYU Precollege student this summer, you will be able to choose from more than 100 online undergraduate courses across all areas of academic study. Begin to master a foreign language, practice the art of journalism, explore engineering and design, or delve into business and finance.
Precollege students can earn up to 8 credits (two classes) during the six-week summer term. In addition to credit-bearing courses, students can enroll in the non-credit College Writing Workshop (see more information below).
The Summer 2021 Precollege course search will be available on March 22. Most Precollege courses are offered every summer, however course schedules and faculty may vary. View the Summer 2020 Precollege Course Search to learn more.
Events and Activities
Summer Precollege students can connect with their classmates at a series of virtual events and activities hosted by NYU. Movie nights, trivia, and cooking classes are just a few of the ways you can unwind and engage with our NYU Precollege community.
College 101
In addition to classes, Precollege students can participate in the College 101 workshop series, which offers training in essay writing, research, and other essential college skills. College 101 also prepares students for the college admissions process, providing guidance and tools to help them build a strong application.
Non-Credit Writing Workshop
Summer Precollege students have the option of taking a non-credit College Writing Workshop, a five-week course taught by NYU’s writing faculty. The workshop introduces students to college-level reading and writing techniques and helps them hone their research and writing skills. Past students have found the course to be an excellent supplement to their credit-bearing NYU courses, and the skills they develop enhance their high school and undergraduate studies.
Several sections are offered, including sections designed for international or domestic students with English as their second language. The course is graded pass/fail.

Accelerate: Baylor University Pre-College Program gives students the opportunity to begin their academic pursuits and get ahead on core course requirements that will apply to a range of Baylor degrees, but are also transferable to other universities. This is a unique opportunity to get a jump start on Baylor courses – and core courses that will prepare students for college-level rigor.
Choosing to pursue college credit at Baylor during your high school days is a tremendous undertaking and is meant for only those students that are prepared to be challenged and stretched and are ready to excel. Admission to the Accelerate program requires rising high school juniors to have a 3.5 GPA or higher and rising high school seniors to have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Students enrolled in Accelerate may be assigned classes specific for pre-college students or general Baylor sections. All course content meets the high academic standards of Baylor University and provides college-level experience and course credit.
Students whose school is currently not an Affiliate, may be enrolled independently as they gain experience and college credit and choose from a select offering of classes taught by Baylor faculty.

On Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm NJACAC will be hosting a VIRTUALCollege Key event. College Key is a FREE workshop for historically underrepresented, low-income, first generation 10th and 11th grade students and their parents or guardians. Attached please find a flyer which you can use to advertise this event to your students.
Throughout the day, students and parents will participate in a series of interactive presentations presented by school counselors and admissions representatives. Topics of discussion include researching and applying to colleges as well as navigating the financial aid process.
There is no cost for this program! Students are encouraged to sign-up for the event online. We encourage parents to attend as well!
Tech It Out Philly is a program that works with local high school students to explore social change through computer science. Students will work, over the course of 8 weekly sessions, in a small group with other high school students and Penn mentors to build a website about a social justice issue of their choice. The semester culminates with a launch party, which allows students to demo their websites to other groups and Penn upperclassmen.
Tech It Out is aimed at students who have no computer science background and may not have a lot of opportunities to learn about technology, so no experience is expected or necessary. It is an entirely free program and we will teach students everything they need to know! Please keep in mind that students will need internet access and a computer.
This semester we will be offering our program virtually, and I think this program would be a great opportunity for your students! The program will meet on Sundays between 2/28 and 4/18 from 2-3 pm EST.
