Summer journalism opportunity for students

 

Do you have students who still need to finalize their summer plans? For students thinking about a career in communications or who enjoy writing, have them apply to the Boston University Summer Journalism Academy. Students can choose their session: Writing and Reporting, offered in-person from June 24 to July 12, 2024, or on-line  two-week sessions starting June 17, July 1, and July 15, 2024 Photojournalism, offered in-person from June 24 to July 12, 2024 In our Writing and Reporting sessions, our award-winning journalists work with students to show them how to follow facts and get to the heart of stories affecting their communities. All students attending our program will have the option to publish one of their stories on our Academy’s website, The Terrier , and use this to in their college essays or add to their portfolios. Students interested in visual storytelling can apply for our photojournalism sessions. Veteran photojournalist Stephen Haines will help students develop their camera skills and guide them on how to work alongside journalists. No matter what session your student(s) select, they will learn practical skills to apply to any career. To learn more, visit www.summerjournalism.org. We accept applications on a rolling basis.
