The Institute for Simulation Learning located at Holy Name Medical Center is excited to announce the application period for our Healthcare Careers Discovery Program will be opening December 11, 2023! We are proud to offer a fantastic summer program for High School students who may be thinking of careers in healthcare. It's a great way to peek behind the curtain to see if healthcare is a field that you really like before committing to a nursing or pre-med program in college. During the week-long summer session, learners participate in a combination of workshops and simulation scenarios exposing them to a variety of clinical skills and healthcare professions.
At Johnson & Wales University, we know that cooking is about more than making tasty meals — food is a powerful medium to fight climate change, create social equity, and preserve cultural traditions. The right recipe can change the world.
To qualify for the Future Food Scholarship Competition, students must complete their JWU admissions application and the competition application before January 15, 2024.

We are pleased to share that the application is open for Northeastern’s Summer 2024 Accelerate Pre-College Programs! Our residential Boston and Oakland campus programs are taught by our internationally acclaimed faculty, allowing students to gain extensive, hands-on, experiential education in subjects including engineering, health sciences, ethics and emerging technologies, entrepreneurship, and more.
The Application Process
Our Summer 2024 residential programs are designed for rising juniors and seniors. We are looking for talented, highly motivated students who are passionate about the subject area and who are ready for a rigorous program. We mimic the Northeastern undergraduate application review process by performing a holistic review—examining all areas of the application (academic, extracurricular, etc.) equally. Application requirements include:
Completed Online Application
Transcript: An unofficial high school transcript or report card.
Personal statement: A short statement (maximum of 250 words) describing the student’s passion for the subject matter, motivation for enrolling in the program, and what they hope to gain from the experience.
Recommendation: Students may submit a teacher or counselor recommendation, but this is not required.
Financial aid information: The application includes an optional financial aid section for students to be considered for need-based aid awards.
There is no application fee for the program. Admitted students who apply by the Priority Application Deadline, January 15 at 11:59 p.m. EST, will receive a $500 discount on tuition. More information on the application and financial aid can be found on our website.
Upcoming Pre-College Fairs

More information and registration details are available on our website.
