2019 Study Abroad: Rome
Program Date: June 1 - June 15, 2019

  • Two weeks of study immersed in the history and culture of the Eternal City, with a focus on the architectural landscape and its stories - Learn more
  • Scholars representing a range of fields are on hand to guide students in their exploration of this fascinating city
  • The Notre Dame Global Gateway in Rome serves as the home for lectures and discussions, while the city itself serves as the program's true classroom

2019 Study Abroad: Ireland
Program Date: July 13 - July 27, 2019

  • 12 days exploring bustling Dublin and serene Connemara, Ireland - Learn more
  • Guided by Notre Dame faculty and local scholars, students embark on an exploration of Irish culture, history, and landscape
  • Seminars held at the Keough-Naughton Notre Dame Center in Dublin and the historic castle of Kylemore Abbey in Connemara

University of Scranton Future Accountants Leadership Conference


We would like to introduce an exciting opportunity for you to share with your students.


The fourth annual Future Accountants Leadership Conference (FAL-Con) will be held at The University of Scranton on Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


The purpose of FAL-Con is to introduce students to the dynamic and rewarding world of business and the accounting profession. This conference will be an interactive and meaningful educational experience. Sessions will be held with our award-winning faculty, distinguished executive alumni, and students from our Business Leadership and Beta Alpha Psi Honor Programs.


Students attending the conference should be current seniors who have applied to business or accounting at the University. Students should be in the top 30% of their class (if your school ranks) with at least a 3.2 GPA. Participants who meet the eligibility requirements will receive a $1,000 scholarship upon acceptance to The University of Scranton for the freshman entry term of fall 2019.*


All participants will receive a certificate of completion and attend a brief recognition and networking reception. Students may invite their parents/guardians to attend the conference and participate in the parent track. All participants are requested to dress business casual.


To register, students should complete the online FAL-Con form by Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Please note that space is limited. Emmanuel College Catholic High School Graduate Award

Catholic High School Graduate AwardThis $5,000 annual scholarship is given to graduates of Catholic high schools who enroll at Emmanuel College. The award recognizes a student's commitment to academics and service made throughout high school. No additional scholarship application is required but students must apply by February 15. Students are notified of their award upon admission to the College.

Scholarships are mutually exclusive; however, students receiving scholarships or awards may also be considered for need-based financial aid including federal, state and Emmanuel College grants and loans.

Engineering Summer Academy | July 7-13 or July 14-20, 2019

Learn about aerospace, biochemical, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, forensic, industrial, material science, mechanical and systems engineering through an integrated program of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on projects, tours, and field trips. 

Leadership Academy | July 21-27, 2019

Assess your own leadership style through a 360-degree assessment and carefully calibrated experiential exercises. Learn about the practices and ethics of leaders in a wide range of spheres through integrated lectures, interviews, engaging in-class activities, and a field trip to the United Nations Headquarters in NYC. Final student presentations address individual leadership development and applications. 

Political Engagement - NEW | July 28 - August 3, 2019

Learn from university professors, grass roots activists, lobbyists, elected officials, political party leaders, and journalists about the complexities of our political system and how you can make an impact, even before you can vote. Through engaging classes, small group projects, guest speakers, and a field trip to Trenton, you’ll develop the skills to critically assess conflicting political messages and research data, form your own positions on pressing public issues, and present and defend them in writing and in oral debate.

Physical Therapy - NEW | August 4 - 10, 2019

Learn about the exciting field of Physical Therapy and the Exercise Science major that provides an ideal track at Rutgers University to prepare to apply to a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Graduate Program. This program will help you learn more about the field through faculty lectures, field trips and hands-on activities. Students will receive advice on how to prepare now for this growing field from academic advisors and professionals in the field. You will tour the Functional Human Anatomy and Exercise Physiology Labs, visit the Graduate Rutgers DPT North Campus, and learn about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle through a hands-on cooking demonstration.

STEM Program at Princeton University

The W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars Institute is a leadership development organization for adolescents and secondary students. Since its inception in 1988, the Institute has provided extensive leadership, scholarship and community service training with the goal of developing a cadre of activist scholars-leaders who excel both academically and professionally. Through rigorous university-level courses and guidance, the Institute aims to help youth develop to their fullest capacities so that they can better serve others.

Applications from your high-achieving 10th and 11th graders with an interest in STEM courses are welcomed.  The application and supporting materials deadline is November 9, 2018Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage students to apply as early as possible. Our Pre-College programs offer high school students a taste of college life, academics, and the Notre Dame community. Students earn one college credit upon completion of any of our programs.

Summer Scholars - Two weeks studying one of 21 course topics under the tutelage of Notre Dame faculty.

Study Abroad - Travel to Rome or Ireland and expand your understanding of the world by immersing yourself in local history and culture.

Leadership Seminars - A rigorous 10-day academic experience fully funded by the University of Notre Dame.  *Please note: Launching new courses! Application opens October 15, 2018.
