Susquehanna University is offering 10 outstanding weeklong workshops this summer for students who want to develop their skills in an academic area while living on a college campus.

All of the programs are taught by Susquehanna faculty and limited in size to ensure the best experience for every student. I hope you will pass along this information to families who are looking for an academically challenging, yet fun week for their student(s) this summer.

Actor’s Studio
Experience university-level professional theatre training and immerse yourself in artistic collaboration. Take the spotlight for bare-bones monologues and compelling small-cast scenes under the guidance of experienced professional actors and directors. (June 24–30)

Choral Institute
Immerse yourself in music and improve your musicianship, vocal technique and choral performance skills in group and private settings. Acquire transferable skills: independence, creativity,
problem-solving and teamwork. (July 1–7)

Exploring Legal Careers
Participate in a Mock Trial and play out the role of prosecutor, defendant or witnesses in a criminal case.
Interact with attorneys and judges to learn what a legal career involves and whether or not it’s a good fit for your interests. (June 24–30)

i-Engineer
The faculty will help you think analytically and look beyond the obvious while deepening your understanding of astronomy, physics, math and team-building psychology. You’ll strengthen your mental muscle and improve your problem-solving skills. (July 8–14)

Leadership Institute for Entrepreneurship (LIFE)
Find out what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur in this fast-paced, business boot camp. Run your own virtual business in a simulated entrepreneurial setting guided by expert faculty. (June 24–30 and offered again August 5–11.)

Publishing & Editing Institute
Get hands-on experience producing and marketing a book in a team-centered experience featuring workshops, strategy sessions and industry-leading guest speakers. Work on your projects in The Letterbox, our publishing and editing lab. (June 24–30)

Stream Ecology Institute
Learn the basics of water quality, macroinvertebrate and fish sampling, and identification. You’ll get plenty of hands‐on experience using the latest equipment and methods employed by aquatic ecology professionals. (July 8–14)


Summer Writers Workshop
Live the life of a practicing writer! Nationally recognized writers will help you to hone your craft. Named one of the 500 best summer programs in the world by Princeton Review Press. (July 22–28)

Wall Street Susquehanna
You’ll get a first-class introduction to business and investing during a fast-paced week in the life of a Wall Street analyst. You will learn to use one of the Bloomberg terminals in our investment laboratory, rarely available to high school students. (June 24–30)

Wind Ensemble Institute
Want to become a better musician? Polish your technique in private lessons with expert faculty
and improve your musicianship playing in chamber groups. (June 24–30)
