We recognize there are several summer programs available to your student. Below are five reasons why a WPI Pre-College Experience may be the best fit!

1) Explore Your Future

Now is the time to check out different career paths by taking a variety of courses to expand your knowledge and fine-tune future aspirations. WPI's summer programs are a great stepping stone towards figuring out what classes you love and which ones you can do without.

2) Experience College Life

There's more to college than taking classes. Experience what life is like as an undergraduate by living in a residence hall, eating in the dining hall, and participating in social and educational activities on-campus and in the local community.

3) Make Lifelong Friendships

Find people with similar passions who will support you and help you grow as you begin the transition to college. Broaden your horizons by meeting students from all over the globe. Several past participants are still in contact with other students they met during a WPI summer program.

4) Learn by Doing

Apply your knowledge to hands-on projects run by WPI faculty or conduct experiments in labs where world-changing research happens. Examples of past projects include model airplane tests, cyanotype creations, and robot builds using VEX software.

5) Build Independence

Enjoy many of the same freedoms as a college student. Roam campus, enjoy the dining hall buffet, and develop a positive routine. Away from home, you make your own decisions.
